Greetings,

With the blessings of the distinguished New Frontier Democratic Club in January 2002, a group of young African American democrats founded the New Frontier Young Democratic Club. Their goals were to get more involved in the Democratic Party and to ensure issues critical to our community remain a part of policy advances of the party and elected leadership throughout the region.

NFYD's mission has been to join together African Americans who have a strong interest in governmental affairs and the political process in order to support individuals, institutions and initiatives that promote the ideals of the Democratic Party.

True to our mission and our founding principles, NFYD has taken an active role within our community by hosting issue forums, fundraising, public policy advocacy, endorsing candidates and participating in local, state and national campaigns.

This year NFYD will continue to take a leading role on the most pressing issues facing our community. Solution-oriented, we will focus on the provision of quality education, eradicating health disparities and the creation of opportunities for economic empowerment throughout the African American community.
